Terms of use
Updated October 22, 2026
These terms apply to anyone who uses Listyradio (the website and web app). By using the service, you agree to them, to the extent permitted by law. If you don't agree, please don't use Listyradio.
1. What Listyradio is
Listyradio is an independent, free project: a directory and web player for radio stations that broadcast publicly on the internet. It helps you find stations, organise them into lists and listen to them in your browser.
Listyradio is not a radio station and does not operate the stations in its catalogue. It does not produce, edit, host, record, store or rebroadcast any audio. When you listen to a station, your browser connects directly to the server of that station or its streaming provider, at the address the station makes available to the public. Listyradio provides the playback interface and points to that address.
The broadcast reaches you unchanged, from the same source as on the station's own website: we don't cut, alter or add anything to it, including the ads the station broadcasts.
We aim to include only streams that their operators make freely available to the public, without an account, payment or other access restrictions. We don't get around technical protection measures or access restrictions, and we don't knowingly include streams made available without the rights holders' consent. If we learn that a stream doesn't meet these conditions, we act under section 8.
The station list comes from public sources. We check it automatically to see whether the addresses work, but these checks are technical: they are not a review of licences or broadcasting rights and don't guarantee that the information is accurate, complete or up to date.
2. Copyright, related rights and stations' responsibility
Programmes, music, news and ads are provided by the stations. Each station is responsible for what it broadcasts and for obtaining the rights it needs to broadcast online, including licences from copyright and related-rights holders or from collective management organisations, for the territories where it makes its broadcast available. We don't decide, control or endorse stations' content.
A streaming address being public doesn't mean listening to it is allowed in every country or situation, nor that we have checked the station's licences. Listyradio grants you no licence to the music or programmes stations transmit.
3. Territorial restrictions
Stations may hold broadcasting rights only for certain countries and may limit access by location. Respecting these limits is up to the station, which controls the streaming server. Listyradio doesn't get around these limits.
At the well-founded request of a station or rights holder, or where the law requires it, we may restrict a station from being shown or played through Listyradio in certain countries or everywhere.
4. Names, logos and metadata
Station names, logos and trademarks belong to their owners. We show them only so you can recognise the stations, within the limits allowed by law, without implying any affiliation, sponsorship or endorsement on their part.
Information about the song playing comes from the station's stream, and album covers and other images may come from outside services. We show them for information, as we receive them, without guaranteeing they are correct.
Owners can ask at any time for a station's name, logo, images or description to be corrected or removed, under section 8.
5. How you may use Listyradio
You may use Listyradio for free, for personal, non-commercial listening. You may not:
- use Listyradio to rebroadcast, redistribute or communicate stations to the public, or as a source for another broadcasting service;
- reproduce stations' content other than within the exceptions provided by law;
- get around geographic restrictions, technical protection measures or access controls set by stations;
- harvest data from Listyradio automatically and in bulk (scraping, bots) or overload its servers;
- access our systems without authorisation, send malicious code, exploit vulnerabilities or disrupt the service;
- use Listyradio for anything illegal or to infringe anyone else's rights.
You are responsible for following the laws and restrictions of the country you listen from. Some stations may not be available or allowed everywhere.
6. Stations you add
You can add station addresses by hand. They stay in your browser unless you include them in a shared list (section 7). You are responsible for what you add and how you use it: add only public streams you have the right to listen to. Listyradio playing an address doesn't mean we have confirmed the station is licensed or legally available in your country.
7. Lists shared by link
When you share a list, its name and stations, including addresses you added yourself, are stored on our server so the link works. A shared list is a copy of your selection at that moment: if you change your list afterwards, the link you sent doesn't change.
Anyone with the link can see the list. Links aren't private or password-protected, so don't put personal data, confidential information or anything you have no right to make public in a list's name.
By sharing a list, you confirm that, to the best of your knowledge, it contains no streams made available unlawfully and doesn't infringe anyone else's rights. You are responsible for the lists you share.
We store lists at your request, as an intermediary, and don't review them beforehand. By sharing a list, you allow us, free of charge and non-exclusively, to store it and show it to people with the link, only so the service works. The list remains yours. We don't guarantee that shared lists will be kept forever, and we may delete or block them under these terms or the law.
8. Notices and removal
If you represent a station, hold rights in some content or find a problematic station, list or link, you can send us a notice through the contact page. As a station's operator, you can ask for it to be removed or corrected even without a formal complaint: you don't have to prove an infringement, only that you represent the station. On any station you can also use the "Report" button, which prepares an email with its details. So we can review the notice, include as far as possible:
- your name, how we can reach you and in what capacity you are writing (for example, for the station);
- the station's name and the exact Listyradio link or the link of the list concerned; notices that don't clearly identify the station or list can't be processed;
- why you consider the content illegal or infringing your rights, referring where possible to the law or licence concerned, or what you want changed;
- any information or documents that support the request;
- a statement that the information is accurate to the best of your knowledge and given in good faith.
If you leave contact details, we confirm receipt of your notice. We review it carefully, objectively and without undue delay, and let you know our decision. We may ask for more information and may disable a station, address or list as a precaution when there are serious indications of an infringement, without this being an admission of any infringement. Clearly unfounded notices may be rejected.
When we restrict a list or remove a station following someone else's notice and have the affected party's contact details (for example, the station's), we tell them our decision and the reasons, to the extent the law requires it. Anyone affected by a decision can ask us to reconsider it through the same contact page, without losing any other remedies the law provides. We comply with binding requests and orders from the competent authorities.
9. Moderation and protective measures
To protect users, rights holders and the service, we may:
- correct, hide or remove stations and their details;
- disable shared lists and links;
- block streaming addresses that pose a security risk;
- limit automated requests or abusive access;
- restrict, temporarily or permanently, access for anyone who breaks these terms.
We check automatically whether streams respond and can be played in a browser, and automatically hide stations that don't work. Notices about rights or the legality of content are reviewed by a person. We apply these measures reasonably and proportionately.
10. Rights in Listyradio
The Listyradio name and brand, and the site's design, text and original code, belong to us and are protected by law. Some components and libraries belong to others and are used under their own licences. Using Listyradio transfers no rights in them to you, and you may not copy or exploit them without our consent, except where the law or those licences allow it.
11. Availability and changes
We may change, suspend or stop Listyradio or any of its features at any time, and carry out maintenance or urgent security work, including without prior notice where necessary. Stations may change or stop broadcasting at any time, independently of us. We don't guarantee that your history or lists will be kept.
12. No warranties
Listyradio is provided for free, "as is" and "as available". To the extent permitted by law, we don't guarantee that the service will run without interruption or errors or on every device, that any particular station will be available, or that station information is complete and correct. This doesn't restrict the guarantees and rights the law gives you on a mandatory basis.
13. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damage, loss of profit or losses caused by: content broadcast by stations, a station's lack of licences, stations' outages or restrictions, incorrect information coming from third parties, outside sites and services that links lead to, or the way you use Listyradio, where these are not attributable to us.
For information stored at users' request, such as shared lists, we are liable under the conditions the law sets for providers of intermediary services.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for intentional acts or gross negligence or for harm to life, physical integrity or health, nor any rights you have as a consumer.
14. Outside services and links
When you listen to a station, your browser connects directly to the servers of the station or its providers, which receive technical data about the connection, such as your IP address and browser. Listyradio also contains links to outside sites and services (stations' websites, YouTube, social networks). We don't control these services, their availability, restrictions or data policies.
15. Personal data
How we use your data is described in the privacy policy and the cookie policy, which are read together with these terms.
16. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms when the service, the law or security measures change. The version in force is always the one on this page, with the date of the last update at the top, and we announce important changes where the law requires it. Using Listyradio after an update means you accept the new terms, to the extent permitted by law.
17. Governing law
These terms are governed by Romanian law, without prejudice to the mandatory rules and rights you have under European law or the law of the country where you live. We will first try to settle any dispute amicably, through the contact page. If that isn't possible, the dispute goes to the courts that are competent under the law, and as a consumer you keep your right to turn to the competent courts or authorities.
18. Final provisions
If any part of these terms is found invalid, the rest remains in force. Not exercising a right straight away doesn't mean we waive it. These terms create no partnership, agency or affiliation between Listyradio and the radio stations.
19. Point of contact
For notices, removal requests, questions about these terms and communications from authorities, use the contact page. You can write to us in Romanian or English.
